Requirements and Evaluation Criteria

The guide establishes the application requirements, selection criteria, and the types of activities that may be proposed.

 

Who can participate?

Full-time faculty members with an indefinite-term contract who meet the established requirements.

Application Requirements

Applicants must:

  • Hold an indefinite-term full-time faculty appointment.
  • Have at least three years of continuous service as a full-time faculty member at Tecnológico de Monterrey by the application deadline for the corresponding call.

Note: Temporary leave due to accident, illness, or pregnancy is not considered an interruption of the required seniority for applying to the Faculty Mobility Program.

Applicants must not have completed an international mobility stay through the program during the immediately preceding call.

Applicants must have received a High Value performance rating or higher (or its equivalent) in the previous year's annual performance evaluation.

Applicants must have an ECOA score of 8.5 or higher, based on the weighted average of the last three years.

Applicants must obtain approval from their immediate supervisor, and endorsement from the Associate Dean of the corresponding School, documented through a formal letter.

Factors Considered by the Committee

The Faculty Mobility Outbound Committee will evaluate applications based on:

  • Compliance with all participation requirements.
  • The following factors related to the proposed activities.

The degree to which the proposal aligns with the strategic priorities of Tecnológico de Monterrey, the corresponding National School, or the respective Institute.

The proposed activities and expected deliverables resulting from: Educational innovation, research, consulting, artistic creation, clinical practice, entrepreneurship, or a professional development project.

The applicant's academic prestige and demonstrated commitment to the institution and the proposed project.

The expected impact of the proposal and its contribution to strengthening institutional collaboration and partnerships.

The applicant's academic qualifications, achievements, and professional trajectory relevant to the proposed mobility project.

Accepted Activities

Activities That May Be Carried Out

The proposed activities must contribute to the applicant’s professional development, be conducted at internationally recognized institutions, and provide a direct benefit to the area in which the applicant works at Tecnológico de Monterrey. Examples include:

Profesor(a) visitante

Participate as a visiting professor at Top 200 international universities.

Research Programs

Initiate or strengthen scientific, technological, or educational research programs in the applicant’s area of expertise.

 

Immersion Programs

Participate in immersion programs for professional development or upskilling, carrying out activities related to: Professional practice, research, artistic creation, clinical practice, entrepreneurship or professional development

Social Development

Design and/or lead a social development project with regional impact involving members of the academic community.

 

Collaborative Placement

Carry out a collaborative placement in a strategic area relevant to the applicant’s School or Institute.
